Fellowships at the Ross Eye Institute

We offer subspecialty training in:

• Cornea

Cornea/External Disease & Refractive Surgery Fellowship

This subspecialty fellowship program will encompass one year of training with various cornea-trained ophthalmology faculty, with specific focus on cornea, anterior segment, ocular surface disease, trauma and refractive surgery. Clinical and surgical sites will include: The Ross Eye Institute (Buffalo & Amherst locations), Buffalo VA Medical Center, Erie County Medical Center, and an off-site refractive surgery center. Additionally, according to cornea faculty privileging and utilization, surgery will also be carried out at various ambulatory surgery centers. The program is modeled after the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology Fellowship Compliance Committee (AUPOCC) ophthalmology fellowship guidelines which currently are ALL non-accredited ophthalmology fellowships with regard to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) governances.
