Benjamin Gutsin, O.D. earned his doctor of optometry (O.D.) degree through Salus University’s Accelerated Scholars Program – enabling him to complete a traditional 4-year doctorate in 3 years. While in school Dr. Gutsin served as the president of his class and was recognized by CooperVision as a best practice scholarship recipient. Dr. Gutsin has experience diagnosing and managing a variety of eye conditions including complications from diabetes, high blood pressure, inflammatory conditions, dry eye, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and cataracts. He also fits a wide variety of contact lenses and is available for routine eye care. 

Prior to optometry school Dr. Gutsin attended the University at Buffalo. While at UB, he received numerous awards including the prestigious SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence. He was also an active member in the university’s Honors College and School of Management Honors Program. He currently lives with his wife Jenna and their dog Marla. They enjoy trying new foods, traveling, and spending time with their family and friends.
